These are situated on the foothills of Mt. Elgon in Kapchorwa, a town bordering Kenya. You’ll bask in the beauty of the falls and take striking photos while appreciating the panoramic views of the surrounding made up of hilly and green plains.
You’ll set off after early morning breakfast on a scenic journey through small towns, tea, and sugar plantations to the Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa. On the way, you’ll make a stopover in Jinja to take a boat cruise to the source of the Nile. Then, continue to Mbale, where you’ll have lunch before visiting the Sisiyi Falls, located along the Mbale-Kapchorwa highway. Upon arriving at your lodge, you’ll freshen up and relax while listening to the soothing sound of the falls close by. Later in the evening, you’ll go on a guided tour through a local coffee plantation and even witness the entire process of making Arabica coffee. Get to enjoy a cup of that coffee as the sun sets. After breakfast, a guide will take you on a scenic route through lowland plains with the towering Mt. Elgon in the backdrop to see the triple falls. You’ll start with a visit to the smaller two, which stand at 85m and 75m before moving on to see the major one that stands at 100m. And from the top of the highest Sipi fall, you’ll enjoy abseiling. 2. Abseiling You’ll get an adrenaline rush from descending to the bottom of the falls. Here you’ll find a small pool that you can swim in if you moved with your swimming wear before returning to the lodge to have lunch. 3. Sipi Falls – Kampala After enjoying lunch at Sipi River Lodge, you’ll drive back to Kampala.
