The Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary – is the only place in Uganda where there are no age limits to seeing the chimps.
This preserve is home to 52 chimpanzees, which you can interact with in their natural habitat; see them feed at 2:00 pm and watch them play with each other.
You’ll get a thrill out of touring this sanctuary on this 1-day trip while at the same time ensuring its continued existence since the money you pay will go towards the care of its orphaned chimps.
The reptile village is home to over 40 rescued reptile species, but you’ll see approximately 20 species on display.
The biggest draw to the place is snakes, and here you’ll find the Gaboon viper, mambas, puff adders, and African rock python, which you can get the chance to lift if you’re willing with the help of a trained supervisor. Other reptiles in the village include crocodiles, monitor lizards, Jackson’s chameleon, and skinks.
From the reptile village, you’ll drive to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, where you’ll take a boat ride to Ngamba Island. But before doing so, you’ll tour the Entebbe Zoo to see the different animals that live there, like elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and ostrich.
